Welcome to Physio in Felsted!

My name is Louise Hustwayte and I provide a professional, personalised, physiotherapy service at my clinic, Physio in Felsted.

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (H.C.P.C.).

I am also a member of the following professional organisations : Physio First, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Physiotherapy Pain Association (PPA).

Background:-

I Graduated from The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital School of Physiotherapy, Birmingham, in 1993 and I have specialised in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders since 1996. I have enjoyed working in the Chelmsford region since 2001.

How can I help you?

I have a broad-based knowledge of physiotherapy skills which I use to treat a variety of complaints including, but not limited to:-

Sports Injuries

Neck and Back problems, including referred pain such as sciatica

Headaches

Jaw pain and clicking

Arthritis

Shoulder problems, including 'Frozen Shoulder' and Rotator Cuff injuries

Elbow disorders, including tennis and golfers elbow

Wrist disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome

Hip pain, including Trochanteric bursitis

Knee and ankle pain and instability

Foot problems, including plantar fasciitis,

Persistent aches, pains and 'niggles'.

Hands-on Therapy Approach: -

I am proactive in my commitment to continuous professional development and have an eclectic approach to helping people feel better.

In March of this year I completed a wonderful 'Hot Stone Fusion Intensive' Massage course, provided over four days in Brighton, by Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training.

Since November 2016 I have been training with MFR UK towards a Diploma in Integrated Myofascial Therapy (iMFT); I have completed all of the practical components of the Diploma and intend to complete the remaining requirements by the summer (2018).  Integrated MFT is a hands-on, soft tissue technique which facilitates a 'letting-go' of the soft tissues through techniques drawn from a variety of healthcare systems and approaches; it is the perfect complement to physiotherapy and can produce impressive results, even many years after injury.

The Felsted region is a wonderful, tranquil place to be, surrounded by fields and wildlife. It's great to have the opportunity to work in my own physiotherapy clinic here.

I have lived here with my wonderful husband and gorgeous black dog, Bob, since 2012 and we enjoy walking along the footpaths most days, collecting sticks.
